Our Diverse Sewing Course Offerings

Kaimuki Dry Goods offers a wide range of sewing classes to cater to every skill level and interest. Whether you're a complete novice yearning to learn the basics or an experienced sewist seeking to expand your repertoire, we have the perfect course for you.

Beginner Sewing

  • Discover the fundamental techniques of sewing, including machine operation, fabric selection, and pattern reading.
  • Create a simple pillowcase or tote bag to apply your newfound skills.

Intermediate Sewing

  • Elevate your sewing abilities by mastering more complex techniques, such as zipper insertion, darts, and curved seams.
  • Craft a stylish skirt or a versatile blouse to showcase your refined skills.

Upcoming Classes

Space is limited for all classes. Please call or come in to register. We do not take registration requests online (through email or social media). For your space to be secured, payment must be made in full. For more information on any of our classes, please give us a call or inquire in-store.

Beginning Embroidery

Starting August 25 and continuing every 4th Sunday through December

10:30AM - 12:30PM

Cost: $10 each class


This highly requested class will take you through learning more about your embroidery machine, types of thread and needles, and all of the basics and will ultimately end with you being able to cut, hoop, load, and stitch and embroidery design.
A machine for use during class will be provided. Students do not have to own a machine. If you own a machine, please bring your machine’s manual to every class.
Students are to bring their own notebook and pen or pencil to take notes.

Kimberbell In The Hoop Classes

Each month we offer a different Kimberbell In the Hoop project class! Sometimes the instructor decides on the project, sometimes the class decides on the next project. More information about each class and their individual supply lists will be given at the time of registration.


Classes are $35 per class and are from 10:30AM - 3PM

Kimberbell Gingerbread Christmas

It’s a Gingerbread Christmas with Kimberbell! At our one-day machine embroidery event, you’ll create a heartwarming vignette with three coordinating projects. Stitch a Gingerbread Village Place Mat with exquisite redwork, then make Snowflake and Star Ginger Cookies and a Sugar & Spice Gingerbread House to display with the included glass cloche and Winter Wood Beaded Garland! With classy colors and traditional projects, Gingerbread Christmas is timeless decor for mantles and more.
